D.K. Bennett is an Emmy Award-winning writer and journalist whose work has spanned broadcast media, documentary production, and storytelling across multiple platforms.
Raised in rural Montana as one of five children in a home shaped by poverty, alcoholism, and fear, Debra learned early that survival required faith — even when faith was hard to find. She didn't come to God through a church program or a comfortable life. She came to Him on her knees, one ordinary day at a time.
In the Ordinary is her first book — a 30-day devotional memoir written for the person still in the middle of it. The one who can't see a way out. The one who is just trying to make it through today.
She wrote this book because she believes God has been speaking all along. In the quiet. In the routine. In the moments we almost miss.
D.K. Bennett lives in Georgia and lives the life God created still hearing Him in ordinary moments.
